Betting-On-Love

For the February 2018 art contest no entries were turned in. If you are currently working on a picture for it you can still send it to me and I'll feature it in my journal, however there wont be any prizes.
I'm going to host a contest in April or May, I'll update when I've decided and we're closer to the date. I think it will have only 1 category with first place winning a $10 gift card and second place $5.  What do you think?

These could be spoilers if you've never read BOL before and are looking at these pages since they are out of order. I'm trying to pick pages where it's the first time two characters are shown together/meet, or are at their cutest (in my opinion).

To celebrate valentine's Day, romance, and my working on Betting On Love (BOL) again I'm hosting an art contest! Participate for a chance to win a $5 amazon gift card!
From Jan 27th-Jan 31st I'm going to be posting updated character sheets and including them in this journal.
Submissions will be open February 1st.

To enter:
Post your own art to Deviantart with a link back to betting-on-love.deviantart.com in the description. Then submit a link to your submission as a comment to this journal.

Categories:
Celebrating being single- an image of 1 or more BOL characters enjoying the single life during Valentine's Day.
Fan shippings - an image of 1 BOL boy and 1 BOL girl celebrating Valentine's Day.
Cross over- a BOL character with your own OC, or a character from a manga/anime/cartoon network character.

Rules:
Due date is February 28th before 11pm EST
Anyone can participate
There are no limitations on how many submissions or number of categories you can enter.
It has to be an image uploaded to your Deviantart account, you can use any medium/style.
Couples should always be boy/girl.
Characters should be fully clothed with image content G or PG rating.

Winners:
Winners will be announced March 1st.
Each category will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner.
If you enter more than one category, you will only be selected for 1st place in one of the categories by the judges. You can still win 2nd or 3rd in the other categories.

Prizes:
All entrants will receive Llama badges.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive banners announcing them as winners.
1st place winners will also receive $5 amazon gift cards.

EDIT: My graduation from college has been postpone from December 2017 to May 2018. Due to the changes of homework, working at my college, and looking for a new job I can switch over to full time when I do graduate, I've postponed the publish date for my first novel. I will continue to write and do art for BOL while in finishing my classes, but not sure how much will be posting on here until after May. I'm hoping to post at least twice a month.

Currently Betting On Love the original online comic written by E.J. Works and illustrated by Neko Hashira is being uploaded to Webtoons. I, E.J. Works am currently redesigning the characters in 3D art semi realistic style and posting art of the new designs on here. I'm also re-writing the comic series as a short illustrated novel set. The series features the same story line and characters, but will have a slightly altered order of events and will let me explore some story lines more in depth and add a few scenes and ideas that were dropped from the comic due to time limits.  There will also be a few characters referred to or hinted at in the comic that never made an actual appearance.

The first book is scheduled to be published July 17th, 2018. Further details on the publishing company being used will be posted as we get closer to the publishing date.
